Movement classes in the preforming arts need integration for people with disabilities, i.e. dancing in a wheelchair, technical theater, directing, acting, singing, etc. This requires accreditation of specific classes (in academia) and a change in administrative mindsets, i.e. yes, students with disabilities CAN preform and do so along with their non-disabled classmates. There are hundreds of examples of preforming groups (blind dance troupes, wheelchair dancers groups, Deaf dancers) both in this country and around the world that can serve as models for the class curriculum.
In the community where there are less administrative/academic constraints, the opportunity to present experiential situations to the general public is limited only by the number of people willing to conduct such seminars/workshops. Examples: "Bark! Public performance aspect of any of these groups both raises awareness and funds.
Expression and sharing are an integral part of being human; taking advantage of social media reinforces an inclusiveness and offers unbelievable diversity (go out and “Like/Join/Share” as many of these groups as possible).
