Replicate a fellowship program for arts leaders with disabilities.
There is a great program at the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance (the Urban Arts Leadership Program) that focuses on empowering the leadership of young people of color in the arts. "The Program offers professional development, networking opportunities, and paid Fellowship placements to aspiring arts administrators. ***Equally important***, UALP offers Host organizations tools and training that support institutional changes that encourage greater equity and inclusion."
I think the training that happens in the organizations is key. This training would not only make the experience for the fellow and the organization more likely to be positive and fulfilling, but hopefully it would also serve to further the accessibility of the entire organization for audiences and patrons too.
