Can anyone share their experience in finding and using a job center and/or agency specializing in helping people with disabilities create portfolio of work samples — audio, visual performance tape, art portfolio, etc. — free of charge or for a nominal fee?
Sometimes arts educators and job trainers do not have sufficient knowledge of or experience with helping students with disabilities in creating portfolios that incorporate special accommodations by that student to present that work in the most professional manner possible. Does anyone know of resources/training specifically targeted for HR professionals and recruiters to include people with disabilities for employment in their cultural institution? This might be resources that were not intended for the cultural workforce, but could be adapted.
